Happy New Year, fellow Kubians!
We’ve had a great start to 2020!
On the 4th of January, the Monetary Authority of Singapore has provided the Letter of Approval for Kubia’s Remittance Licence Application.
Kubia has officially become a licenced remittance company operating in the Singaporean market.
Great Job, Kubia Team!
“I would like to thank the Monetary Authority of Singapore for the trust that they have put in us to uphold the high standards of financial regulation in Singapore. A remittance licence will allow Kubia to deliver the best challenger banking product to the Singaporean market. I am amazed at how much the Fintech scene has been changing, and I’m grateful to be part of this digital transformation” - Gleb Shabanov, Founder and CEO of Kubia
The remittance licence will provide Kubia customers the unique possibility of making international transfers with ease at competitive exchange rates.
As a result, Kubia is launching its Major January update - beta version 1.1.0.
What’s new in the update?
Remittance Functionality. Our team has prepared and rolled out the beta-version of the remittance engine. You can send money to various destinations across APAC from Singapore in just a few clicks. To make a payment, log in to your Kubia account, go to `Pay` screen and tap the `Wire Transfer` button.
Kubia For Business. Kubia has also released a beta version of Business Current accounts in USD and SGD. Apart from corporate remittances and fair FX rates, we also provide corporate payrolls and Business Debit cards for our corporate customers.
